How to book a plant concert or presentation

Organising a plant concert is easy.
Here are a few technical details that need to be taken into consideration.

Introduction

Hosting an interspecies event is a fun, enrichening and sometimes mind-altering experience.

A welcoming and helpful promoter and staff are essential for both plants and humans to put on the best performance for our patrons.

We would like to thank you for inviting us to perform at your venue.

  • Economy and Logistics

    ● The fixed price of a plant music event is 400 Eu. + transport and acommodation. for plants only with Tritone Crisantemo.

    ● If extra human musicians are desired the price for each human artist is 200Eu. per person + transport and accomodation.

    If accommodation is agreed upon between the hosting party and “Masterplants Orchestra.” Following requirements should be met.

    ● Transportation costs covered to and from venue. This includes airplane tickets, taxi, friendly rides, trains, metro, etc. If needed, this point can be modified in accordance with Tritone Crisantemo.

    ● Room with a bed, High speed Internet connection, bathroom and at least one plant.

    ● Food: After sound-check or performance (Artist’s preference) please provide one healthy, hot meal vegetarian meal or a 20Eu buyout to be paid upon load-in.

  • Technical

    To host a plant concert the event host will provide:

    ● At least 8 plants with genus name tags on stage. To which connect the electrodes from the “Symphony” device. Plants with sturdy and medium to high water content in the leaves is optimal. An abundance of plants onstage is prefered.

    ● A professional sound reinforcement system. This system shall be in excellent working order and free of noise or distortion. Proper cabling must be supplied for all equipment listed below and Stage Monitor System should be set-up, rung out, and running prior to sound check.

    ● A nice table or table with a nice cloth for setting up equipment and plants, at least 5 x 3 feet.

    ● Extension cord with at least 7 power outlets within close range of the table.

    ● Standard Microphone stand.

    ● 2x 6.35mm (¼ inch) Jack cables to connect the “Masterplants Orchestra” audio interface to local sound system.

    ● Sufficient drinking water for plants and humans on stage.

    Unless previously agreed upon with Masterplants management.
    Items on the list above will be expected to be in place upon arrival at the venue.

    Please know that we are open to collaborations and finding solutions if the above requirements need to be altered for custom events suiting your specific location or event.

  • Masterplants Gear

    Masterplants will bring the following equipment to the event.

    ● “Symphony 2.0” device (Plant to MIDI interface)

    ● 8 sensor cables connecting onstage plants to the “Symphony” device

    ● MIDI/USB Interface cable connecting “Symphony” device to Laptop

    ● 1 USB Audio software controller with USB cables connecting to Laptop

    ● 1 Laptop computer

    ● 1 Eurorack 62Hp Modular synthesizer system.

    ● 1 Nord 3p Drum Synthesizer with stand

    ● 1 Moog Theremini with stand.

    ● Neumann KMS 105 Microphone and XLR cable for human voice and vocals

    ● High Quality Audio Interface with cables to connect to local audio system

    ● 7 Power plugs to connect various devices.
